Restoran Kampong Danga @ Perling, Johor Bahru

20140225-204512.jpgSpeciality: ikan bakar, asam pedas, botok-botok, pengat Pisang n Bubur pulut Hitam. Botok-botok is a Javanese dish that have been assimilated by johoreans as one of their traditional dish.

20140225-204529.jpgWe tried out botok ikan kembung and cencaru bakar filled with sambal. They did not have my favorite fish cooked asam pedas, so we ended up only trying the gravy. For those that have never heard of botok botok before, it is the one on the banana leaf. This is my first time trying out it n I loved it! Sweet n spicy with some hints of Malay herbs. The cencaru and asam pedas gravy was nice as well. Nonetheless, the asam pedas at UTM student mall is way more pleasurable than the one served here.

20140225-204539.jpgFor dessert we had Bubur pulut Hitam. It was damn good! Made to perfection. The sweetness and the milkiness is so balanced. Having it was dreamy. I would come again to just have this.
